"Old world charm, and a friendly welcome"

    Camelot Country Club

    Exact location

Camelot Country Club at a glance....

Camelot, as the name suggests is a little bit of - Olde Worlde Charm - set in the heart of Hillcrest. The course is surrounded by Tudor-style homes, and three castles, one being the well known ‘Greensleeves’, a medieval castle which hosts weddings, feasts and many other celebrations.

This picturesque privately owned Hugh Baiocchi designed nine-hole golf course, with 18 tees, is unique. Although not long by today's standards, many players have been caught out by the tricky layout. Lakes form a large part of the area, and add to the breathtaking beauty of the Estate; however they also catch plenty of golf balls! The course also has a population of resident Impala, a huge white swan and abundant other bird life.

Security is a very high priority on Camelot, and here one can play with complete peace of mind, knowing that all the gates are guarded, and the electric perimeter fence is of the highest quality. The Clubhouse, situated inside the gatehouse towers, offers a fully licensed bar and home-cooked snack meals.

Camelot is justifiably proud of its reputation as the friendliest Club in the area, and our staff go to great lengths to make visitors welcome.
We look forward to seeing you on the course.  Please Note – Membership of Camelot Country Club is open to golfers from anywhere and not restricted to residents of the Camelot Estate.

Enjoying warm summers and cool winters, Hillcrest is a mere 30 minutes from the centre and coast of Durban and 45 minutes from King Shaka Airport. It is set on the crest of Valley of 1000 Hills, a popular tourist attraction which is named for the many hills which tumble down to the banks of the Umgeni River, flowing from the distant uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site, to the Indian Ocean. The area combines the laid back ease of luxurious country living with an ancient, indigenous culture on our doorstep.
