Umhlali Country Club - the facilities
Umhlali Country Club is a club in the old fashioned sense.....a friendly welcoming place where families can gather to play sport or just relax with good food and drinks. The club has wonderful sporting and recreational facilities, details of which are shown below.
Centrally located and just a 10 minute drive from the airport, Umhlali Country Club, in Ballito, offers a variety of sporting amenities as well as versatile conferencing and wedding facilities.
The Club and its members are always welcoming, creating a warm and friendly family atmosphere which is a true testament to the wonderful spirit that is Umhlali Country Club.
The Club also boast 5 tennis courts in a thriving tennis section. The bottom 3 courts are floodlit providing an opportunity to play tennis after sunset. There is also a hitting wall if you are alone and would like to hit some balls around.
The Clubhouse and Halfway House offer relaxed environments to network with colleagues and friends while enjoying some of the delicious food and beverages on offer.
Whether you are wanting an ice cold drink after a round of golf in our endless sunshine, or a full meal, we have restaurant an bar facilities to meet your every need.
Our recently re-furbished squash courts allows players to enjoy some of the best facilities and courts in the region. The section also boasts a sophisticated court management system which allows squash members the ability to book online.
The 18 hole Peter Matkovich designed golf course, known as ‘the gem of the North Coast’ melts into the surroundings with indigenous vegetation. Well conditioned Dwarf Paspalum Greens coupled with beautifully manicured fairways provide for an easy walk for every category of golfer.
Golfing Groups from 20 to 144 are catered for. Golf carts are available and are fitted with GPS. The Pro Shop, Caddies and Driving Range are there for your convenience and to accentuate your total golf experience.
We are very proud of our two A+ competition greens recognized by Bowls South Africa that are regularly utilized for both national and international competitions. There is an enclosed verandah and a bar at the bowls pavilion where bowlers can relax whilst not playing.
The Bridge Club has had a home at Umhlali Country Club since 1980 and has grown in popularity and numbers over the years. With the rapidly growing population on the North Coast there are three regular sections and this increases to four sections when there are visitors.
We have variety of venues to suit your requirements. We have the function hall which seats up to 150 people or the boardroom or annex which is suitable for smaller meetings or presentations and seats 20/30 people depending on your layout. All rooms are equipped with TV’s or screens for presentations and are fully air-conditioned
