Spectacular scenery at Umdoni Park
Umdoni at a glance....
Nestling in the Pennington precinct, no more than an easy hour's drive southwards from Durban, lies Umdoni Park, part of the historically fascinating and ecologically important Umdoni Park Trust.
Umdoni Park consists of 210 hectares of Kwazulu Natal’s Southern countryside and derives its name from the water-loving Umdoni trees scattered throughout the estate.
Umdoni Golf Course has a considerable reputation in Kwa-Zulu Natal, being regarded as breathtakingly beautiful and hugely pleasurable to play.
Measuring only 5 560 meters from the tips, it has certainly been adjudged a sufficiently stern test to merit hosting several top KZN amateur events.
It is 18 holes over truly striking terrain, with the front 9 running alongside the sea and the back nine stretching inland through dense indigenous forest vegetation. Umdoni park is anything but flat and it's elevation changes not only translate into an adventure of judgment and shot-making but provides any number of "view-site moments".
